Funhaven Family Fun Centre
The name says it all! Located just minutes west of the downtown core is an entire centre of activities that the whole family will love. From bowling to laser tag, to bumper cars – there’s so much to do here you might even consider visiting more than once. Challenge your kids in the arcade or watch from the bar as they try out the rock wall and jungle gym. And when you’re done with all the fun, you can enjoy some delicious food right on-site.
Canada Science and Technology Museum
Kids love learning about how things work, so why not take them to the Canadian Science and Technology Museum this week and let them run amuck? There are a number of top-notch interactive exhibits, demonstrations, and super fun experiments here this year for spring break. The spring break week coincides with the “Brain Awareness Activities” that includes interactive and neuroscience activities for the whole family.
Canada Agriculture and Food Museum
The annual Barnyard Break is back again this year! You and the fam can pet the animals watch cooking demonstrations, enjoy maple taffy on the snow, watch a calf grooming, create winter-themed crafts, or listen to story time. Come by on Saturday, March the 16th from 10am to 12pm. You can also chow down on delicious pancakes with homemade maple syrup.
Skiing and Snowshoeing
The Sir John A. Macdonald Winter trail is Ottawa’s premier outdoor trail network. Featuring over 16 kilometres of flat groomed trails, it’s the perfect way to spend the day cross country skiing or snowshoeing with the family. There are also a number of amenities along the trail that you can enjoy, including the café at the war museum where you can warm up.
